Local MP Visits to discuss Investment Opportunities
The Materials Processing Institute was delighted to host the visit of Tom Blenkinsop MP for Middlesbrough and South and East Cleveland, to discuss the innovation needs for industry. Tom Blenkinsop was particularly interested to learn about how the Institute supports industry with regard to materials and processing technologies and how, with the development of the SME Technology Centre, our support capability and commitment to the regions development is benefitting organisations, regardless of size.
As chairman of the all-party parliamentary group for steel, Tom Blenkinsop was particularly interested in opportunities for inward investment in the UK. He recognised the important role the Institute plays in providing independent, impartial advice for investors looking for opportunities to enter UK manufacturing. Tom also commented on the strategic importance of the Institute to the UK.
