The Sustainable Cement and Concrete Centre provides cutting-edge research and material development, including novel cement and concrete formulation, materials testing and characterisation, and consultancy.
We use our capabilities and expertise in materials science, new product development, process optimisation, materials testing and characterisation to solve the toughest materials challenges and provide innovative solutions to enable net zero in the construction industry.
We provide research and development services to our partners and clients, helping to refine and accelerate research and development from laboratory to pilot scale. We leverage our people, their expertise and capabilities to accelerate sustainability within the built environment.
Inhouse capabilities to trial various mix designs, cure and test to determine engineering properties.
Laboratory capability to conduct physical, mechanical, durability, chemical and mineralogical tests, working closely with our Advanced Materials Characterisation Centre to provide tailored support and solutions to our clients.
Specialised equipment for particle size reduction and homogenisation, e.g. jaw crusher, ball mill and pan mixers. Practical applications include the recovery of high-quality aggregates from demolished concrete and preprocessing materials for use in new concrete.
