Institute headlines at Tees Valley Business Summit
The 8th Tees Valley Business Summit took place yesterday at Teesside University. This event was organised in association with Tees Valley Business Compass, Tees Valley Combined Authority, Tees Valley Mayor, North East Enterprise Agency Ltd and Teesside University. The Institute is actively involved with all the above and once again was an exhibitor at the summit.
The exhibition was sold out with 108 companies exhibiting and towards the end of the day it was announced that the event had welcomed a record attendance, with over 1,200 visitors. As well as the exhibition there was a series of industry / topic based seminars and workshops to support Tees Valley based businesses.
The Institute’s influence in the Tees Valley continues to grow with initiatives to support local businesses coordinated from the SME Technology Centre, activities connected the Local Industrial Strategy, membership and involvement of trade and industry associations. As well as exhibiting, Andrew Cargill, Marketing Manager, outlined how the Institute supports industry and businesses on all levels – Internationally, nationally and regionally.
