Steel Industry Training Courses now available online and on demand
The Materials Processing Institute has launched the first in its series of instantly accessible online steel industry training courses. An extensive suite of modular based courses is being developed and is accessible on demand via our online training platform.
The first course is available now, with more courses being available to access very soon. These online courses are focussed on specific aspects of steel production with each course split into 3 modules, each lasting 40 minutes.
The first course is part of a series looking at continuous casting and it discusses cleanness, surface and internal quality defects commonly found in continuously cast semis. Applying the learning, trainees will be able to identify the different as-cast semi defects and recommend corrective actions for their elimination, thereby improving both the as-cast product quality and their company’s cash flow position.
