This Metallurgy Course provides an excellent understanding of the science and technology of metals, primarily for carbon and alloy steels. Along with comprehensive presentations there will be relevant practical sessions, held in the Institute’s state-of-the-art and well-equipped metallographic laboratory.

Attendees will benefit by having a greater understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of the metallurgy of metals, particularly carbon and alloy steels, along with an excellent understanding of the processes, products and properties of steels used to make steel products.

• Chemical analysis and material testing
• Steel composition and processes to produce steel strip, sections and plate
