Standing Together for Inclusion and Equality - IDAHOBIT Day

Since its inception in 2004, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) has served as platform to raise awareness about the discrimination and violence faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals worldwide.

As the Materials Processing Institute marks IDAHOBIT today, we remember that it is ever more important to safeguard the equalities that have been hard won around the world and to stand up for those whose rights and safety have been diminished or never existed.

This year’s theme, “No one left behind: equality, freedom, and justice for all,” is a call for unity and solidarity, and for everybody to unite in creating a world with social justice, where no one is left behind. Where equality, freedom, and justice form the foundation of a democratic society where everyone is valued, respected, and celebrated, including for people of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics.

The Materials Processing Institute is dedicated to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and accepted. This day is an important reminder of our commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful and supportive environment for everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

What unites us is greater than what divides us.
