Commercialising technologies that will help the UK meet its sustainability goals

With the support of Innovate UK and the Foundation Industries Sustainability Consortium (FISC), the Materials Processing Institute has invested significantly in a portfolio of differentiated assets and capabilities that has contributed to the sustainability goals of our partners. We are also helping to support the UK’s critical raw material’s supply chains, commercialising technologies for the circular economy, developing new alloys for nuclear fusion and promoting the adoption of hydrogen as a low carbon alternative in the processing of materials.

We are uniquely placed to deliver solutions to our partners and customers through our differentiated pilot scale production assets, including a seven tonne Electric Arc Furnace. Combining this with our cutting-edge analytical equipment and team of world class scientists, technologists and engineers, we believe we are best placed whatever the challenge, to deliver solutions now and into the future.

We have a 75-year history of supporting industries that will remain fundamental to the resilience and success of the UK economy. Our approach is to work in partnership, and through our experienced commercial team, will work with you to understand your challenges and put in place the right approach, from bespoke solutions, to leveraging our broad range of capabilities that de-risk the delivery of complex projects.

We are ready to discuss any challenge you may have and how we can mobilise to help you. Please contact the Institute and one of our experts will speak with you.
