Mark Allan joins steel conference panel discussion


The SUSTAIN Sustainability in Steel Conference takes place next week from Monday 8th - Wednesday 10th July at Swansea University’s Bay Campus.

The conference will bring together the steel research communities to present the latest innovations and developments in the sector. Discussions will explore how this research is supporting the steel industry and its supply chains in the UK and to share best practice.

The event will comprise of talks from both internal and external experts, Q&A panel sessions, a research poster exhibition and flash talks.

Mark Allan, who leads Decarbonised Metal Production research at the Materials Processing Institute will be joining the panel discussion on “The Role of Culture in Research Environments”. This panel discussion will talk about research culture in industry and academia projects, with an emphasis on what we can learn from each other and implement for future projects.
