The Materials Processing Institute is delighted to win the Innovative Medium Business Award at Innovation Tees Valley 2025.

This event was attended by over 150 businesses, investors, funders and innovation leaders. Along with the awards ceremony were seminars and workshops exploring future innovation trends, industry shifts and new market opportunities, providing a platform to come together and create connections to support growth. 

We are a research and technology organisation and work with industry and partners to develop and scale up innovative technologies. Virtually everything that we do is linked to innovation and among the many activities that supported the winning of this award are:

• Our Sustainable Cement and Concrete Centre focusing on cutting-edge research and material development, including novel formulations for low-carbon cement and concrete and consultancy to accelerate innovation by delivering expertise and project management from concept through to pilot stage production - https://www.mpiuk.com/news-details.php?news_id=552

• Our work with UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and partners to achieve the UK’s first large-scale production of fusion-ready steel – a groundbreaking development that promises to significantly lower manufacturing costs for advanced structural materials while enhancing the efficiency of future nuclear fusion power plants - https://www.mpiuk.com/news-details.php?news_id=547
