Life Cycle Assessment, Carbon Footprint and Environmental Product Declaration
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
LCA addresses and quantifies the environmental aspects and potential environmental impacts including the use of resources and environmental consequences of release throughout a product's life cycle from raw material acquisition through production, use, end-of-life treatment, recycling, and final disposal (i.e. cradle-to-grave). It is a compilation and evaluation of the inputs, outputs, and potential environmental impacts of a product system throughout its life cycle (ISO 14044).

Carbon Footprint of a Product (CFP)
The sum of Green House Gas emissions and Green House Gas removals in a product system is expressed as CO2 equivalents and based on a life cycle assessment using the single impact category of climate change. The carbon footprinting of a product complies with the following standard.

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
The Environmental Product Declaration or Type III Environmental Declaration is a technical document that reports the environmental aspects of a product or service. It provides quantified environmental data using predetermined parameters and, where relevant, additional environmental information. It helps to compare those products that are intended to be used for the same function, for example, steel, cement, and ceramic tile.
The Environmental Product Declaration or Type III Environmental Declaration complies with the following standards.
